Steel and Stainless Steel

Cosmicum Ovum
is a large-scale outdoor sculpture that blends botanical inspiration with a cosmic sensibility. Rising from a dense cluster of slender steel stalks, the sculpture evokes an otherworldly garden, where each stem supports a small, dish-like form painted in bright celestial hues. The lower section suggests a bed of alien flora reaching skyward, while above, a tall central stem lifts a geometric “pod” into the air. From this pod, sweeping stainless steel arcs extend outward in all directions, culminating in a constellation of vivid spheres. The composition conveys a sense of radiant energy, as if the pod is both nurturing and broadcasting life.

At once rooted and aspirational, Cosmicum Ovum channels the dualities of growth and exploration, nature and technology. The interplay of rusted steel and polished stainless surfaces reinforces the sculpture’s dialogue between earthly materiality and celestial imagination. As a whole, the work suggests a living organism from a distant galaxy; stretching upward in a gesture of discovery, curiosity, and the mystery of life beyond our world.
